Luanne E Witkowski: LOST + FOUND

November 2 - 27, 2011

First Friday reception : November 4, 5:30 8:00pm

Artist talk : Thursday, November 10, 6:00pm

Strongly influenced by the shore and woodlands of outer Cape Cod, Maine, and now Nova Scotia, Witkowski’s ‘research sketchbook’ consists of documentary photography and video of the environmental installations exploring light, reflection, and color she creates as references for mixed and multi-media works in painting, photography, and video projection. Luanne works intuitively to create abstract contemplative pieces that are rooted in and extracted from landscape and experience.

The Associate Members group is limited to ten artists who are selected and then invited by gallery members to join the gallery.

Interaction | Cyanotype and Mixed Media : Gail Erwin

June 29 - July 31, 2011

Reception: Friday, July 8, 5:30-8:00

Artist's Talk: Sunday, July 24, 3:00-4:00, Reception to follow

Interaction uses tree rings, cyanotype, and iron oxide to create mysterious and ethereal images that explore the elemental and sacred.

A tree ring is digitally photographed and printed in cyanotype, as 21st century technology meets 19th century photographic technique. Iron Oxide interacts with cyanotype creating new, unpredictable layers, transforming the original print.
